A man washes an elephant in a river as they have a break while on their journey between villages. The photos were taken by Tomal Das in Islampur Upazila, Bangladesh.

The 20 year old said, ÒNomadic travellers like this man move from one village to another entertaining people to earn money. They donÕt stay in the same place for a long time at all.Ó

ÒThey tend to stand in front of local shops where the elephant is handed money which he takes with his trunk and passes to his owner. I loved to see the bonding between a human and wild animal.Ó

 *** Local Caption *** EXTRA INFO:  The nomad man travel riding on the elephant. And he earn money just by showing it to people, he move from one place to another stand infront of local shops and takes money,  basically people give money to the elephant, the elephant take it with its trunk and pass the money to the person sitting on it people enjoy watching this scene.

**Nomad people keep moving from one village  to another, they entertain people and earn money by doing that. And whenever they find a river they take a short break to take shower and then they move forward towards their next destination.

*This is not commonly seen because they Don't stay at the same place for a long time.

Fotografa je fascinirao odnos ovoga dvojca.

Na fotografijama su nomad iz Bangladeša i njegov suputnik slon. Putuju iz jednog sela u drugo i zarađuju jednostavnim trikovima – obično borave ispred lokalnih trgovina, gdje prolaznici i kupci slonu daju novac kojeg on uzima surlom i prosljeđuje svojem vlasniku.

Na putu od jedne do druge destinacije se osvježavaju u rijekama, što je i slučaj na ovim fotografijama.

“Ono što me najviše fasciniralo u ovome prizoru je bliskost čovjeka i divlje životinje”, rekao je fotograf Tomal Das Age.
